5 January 2021 : keith williams architects celebrate 20 years in architectural practice

keith williams architects celebrate 20 years in architectural practice on 5 January 2021. The firm was founded by Keith Williams and Richard Brown at the turn of the millennium on 5 January 2001, and the team are proud to have designed so many distinguished buildings for our clients and to have received so many awards, accolades and plaudits over the years.

Our work has taken us all around the world and we have met and worked with some wonderful talented people who share our goals and with whom we have made many lasting friendships.

It is hard to pick highlights but a snapshot might include in approximate chronological order..

The Long House, London, Athlone Civic Centre, Athlone Ireland, the Unicorn Theatre, London, the National Opera House, Wexford, Ireland, The Marlowe Theatre, Canterbury, the Novium Museum, Chichester, Zulfurikabad City Plan, Karachi, Federal Hill Arts Complex, Kuala Lumpur, Lloydminster Cultural  and Science Centre, Canada.

Current projects including a new private residence at North Farm House, West Sussex approach completion whilst the new Clare County Library, Ireland, and the Chiswick High Road apartment building will progress in the next few months.

We could not have done this without our great clients, our staff, our fellow professionals in leading engineering firms and other disciplines, and our friends in the media.

Over the past 20 years, the firm’s work has been featured extensively in the media and been published worldwide, and in 2010 the first monograph on the firm’s work “Keith Williams : Architecture of the Specific” was published by Images Publishing Ltd as part of its Master Architects series.

Normally 20 years in architectural practice would be celebrated with a big party but clearly the present circumstances of Covid-19 prevent that…perhaps later in 2021 – we shall see.

In the interim we wish you well and hope that everyone stays safe in these challenging times.
