Black Prince Road Tower

9 June 2014 : Keith Williams Architects at the 246th Royal Academy Summer Exhibition 2014

Keith Williams’ work, Apartment Tower, Vauxhall, London has been chosen by curators Eric Parry and Sir Richard McCormac to be exhibited within the Architecture Room, Gallery VI in this year’s 246th Royal Academy Summer Exhibition.

The Summer Exhibition provides emerging and established artists with a unique platform to showcase their work. Famous as the world’s largest open submission show, there are certain things the Summer Exhibition delivers on every single year: a panorama of art in all mediums, a remarkable mixture of emerging artists and household names. It is the world’s largest open entry exhibition and has been running continuously for nearly 250 years. As the RA states,   “that’s nine British monarchies, 43 US Presidents, two World Wars and more than 50 British Prime Ministers. Throughout that time, the Summer Exhibition has remained a powerful barometer of the art of each age. And the same simple premise has always applied – anyone can enter and all of the works are chosen by leading artists.”

Keith Williams is a regular exhibitor at the prestigious annual exhibition, and this year’s work is a physical model in acrylic of the firm’s project for a 24 storey tower in London currently under construction.

The Summer Exhibition runs from 9 June – 17 August
