Royal Academy Summer Exhibition 2012

28 May 2012 : Two of Keith Williams’ projects selected for exhibit at the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition 2012

Two drawings by Keith Williams & Richard Brown entitled ”New Marlowe Theatre, Canterbury : Cutaway Isometric” and ”Fragments of a New City for 10 million People, Zulfurikabad, Pakistan” have been selected to hang at the prestigious Royal Academy Summer Exhibition 2012. The 244th Summer Exhibition is coordinated by painter and royal academician Tess Jaray RA.

The Summer Exhibition provides emerging and established artists and architects with a unique platform to showcase their work. Famous as the world’s largest open submission show, there are certain things the Summer Exhibition delivers on every single year: a panorama of art in all mediums, and a remarkable mixture of emerging artists and household names. This year’s show includes many hundreds of works showcasing everything from watercolour paintings to photography, models, drawings and sculpture. This cultural event has been a fixture of the calendar ever since the RA was founded back in 1768.

Each year thousands of artists and architects apply to have there work hung, but only a few hundred have there work chosen for exhibition in a rigorous selection process undertaken by the Royal Academicians.

Keith Williams’ drawings will be on display in the Architecture Room at the Royal Academy, Piccadilly, London from 4 June – 12 August 2012.
